He started the site after 9 years of being a dog parent and getting tired of pet content that read like it was written by people who’d never actually picked up a leash or scrubbed a litter box. His Australian Shepherd mix is the reason he learned more about the pet industry than he ever expected to.

Every post is researched against primary sources — peer-reviewed studies, insurer policy documents, first hand experience, AVMA, and ASPCA guidance — and reviewed before publishing. We’re not vets, and nothing on the site replaces a conversation with yours, but we’ll tell you what we’d actually do if it were our pet.
